The WSU DAS is a tool that can provide advance warning of when key events will occur in tree fruit orchards. For the first time, we have created a new alerting tool that will allow users to get advance warning of when key events will occur on the DAS platform at stations they have subscribed to. For example, alerts are available related to codling moth (adult emergence, egg hatch, etc), fire blight, obliquebanded leafroller, pear psylla, and western cherry fruit fly. By using the "My Alerts" tab on DAS, users can set up alerts for each of their weather stations to get 3 to 14 day advance warning of key events.
A how to video on setting up alerts is provided below. We hope this is a new helpful feature for DAS users.
